Prepare your Child
Take the time to prepare your child for your photo session, especially if this is your first time having professional photos taken. Tell them about how you are going to visit the "very nice lady with the camera" who really wants to see their big smiles! Practice smiling with them in the mirror. Bring positive reinforcement (fruit snacks, favorite stuffed animal, goldfish, stickers, a favorite toy, etc.) that can be seen and offered as a reward for good smiles.

Timeline
Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before your session is scheduled to begin. Our Valentines mini sessions are held back to back, so your session must begin promptly at the start time and end at the finish time. Your tardiness may effect the number of final images you have to choose from.

Here are my suggestions in regards to clothing choices:

- DO wear something you feel comfortable in. If you don't feel comfortable, that's going to be obvious in the pictures.
- As far as colors, I recommend light pastel colors, white, khaki, and denim!

For clients traveling less than 30 minutes to their session, please use the restroom before you leave home. The Pine and Bear Productions studio DOES NOT HAVE A BATHROOM. For clients traveling more than 30 minutes to their session, we strongly encourage you to stop at the Bucees at the intersection of 290 and 362 to use the restroom before arriving at your session.

Finishing Touches
When you arrive at the location, take a few minutes to make sure everyone (especially children!) are clean and ready to go. We strongly recommend using a baby wipe to wipe away any drool, snacks, dirt, etc. from tiny faces. Even the smallest smudge will add hours to the editing process, which could result in a delay in image return.

- Client did not want their undershirt to show (I would advise them to pull down their shirt if it was raised)
- Client did not want photos of their child with hands in mouth (I would ask the child to put their hands down when they raised them)
- Client is self conscious about double chin (I instructed the client to pose in flattering ways)
Relax
I prefer natural smiles and genuine interactions over stiff, uncomfortable looking, super-posed photos. During your session you can look forward to fun prompts that will encourage authentic smiles from the whole family. Prepare to tickle and laugh at the word "farts" and fake sneezes!

Stand Behind Me
If you'd like to help prompt your child to smile during their session, please stand directly behind me to do so. If you stand off to the side of me, they will inevitably be looking at you and smiling, which is not ideal. In a perfect world they would smile directly at the camera! Standing behind me increases the chances of this happening.

No Photos! (please)
Please do not take any photos over my shoulder. I promise - The professional photos you're paying me to capture will be worth the wait!

Prepare Payment
Payment of $150 is due at the time that your session concludes. Our preferred payment method is by cash. Paying with cash also saves you from paying sales tax + processing fees!
If you would rather pay with a debit or credit card, an invoice will be generated and sent at the time your session concludes.

Image Return
You will receive your digital gallery of edited images within 3 weeks of our session. If you need your images quicker, expedited processing is always available for an additional fee.

Once your gallery is returned, you will have 1 week to download your favorite images and order prints. If you need more than 1 week to complete the selection and ordering process, please let me know so I can extend the standard archive timeline in my system.
Your session includes 7 digital images. I aim to edit and return at least 10 images in total, so that you have a variety of photos to choose from. Once I send you the link to your digital gallery, you will be able to use your unique 4-digit PIN to download your favorite images. To download:
